Now, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has reacted to the entire controversy. Calling the FIR ‘stupid’, the director stated that it is a case which is getting the attention without any reason. The FIR mentioned that the sentiment of the women is being hurt. Agnihotri questioned when there are so many nude pictures of women, doesn’t that hurt the sentiments of men.
Elaborating further, he added that the human body has always been appreciated in our culture. In fact, it is the most beautiful creation of God. It shows very conservative thinking which he doesn’t support, Vivek told Aajtak.in.
According to reports, the complaint applications were submitted separately at the Chembur police station by an office-bearer of a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), also based in the east Mumbai suburb, and a woman lawyer. The NGO office-bearer stated the actor has hurt the sentiments of women in general and insulted their modesty through his photographs. The application filed by the lawyer also demanded a case against Ranveer on the charge of intent to outrage the modesty of women. After the police complaint, a legal notice was sent to the actor for posing nude by a resident of Nalasopara East.
In the pictures that are going viral on social media, Ranveer has stripped down to nothing, as he poses on a Turkish rug.
