Ranveer Singh, who will be seen hosting the grand event this year, along with his ‘Gunday’ co-star and BFF Arjun Kapoor, addressed the members of the press and lit a lamp augmenting the start of this magnificent journey.
Talking about hosting the event, Ranveer said in a statement, “It’s an honour to represent and host Filmfare Awards. The legacy of the Black Lady is an integral part of the entertainment industry for the last 6 decades. This year I am extremely excited to host the show in front of a live audience. The energy in the house will be unprecedented. The team behind the show are some of the best names in the business, and together it is our endeavour to create a magical and memorable evening for our beloved audience and fraternity.”

“It is the first time I am hosting, I have danced a few times. Performing on stage is very different from hosting. According to me, hosting takes ten times more work, ten times the amount of time,” he added.
Actors Kartik Aaryan, Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, and Disha Patani are set to perform at the gala event, according to the organisers.

This glamorous extravaganza is slated to be held on August 30, 2022, at the stunning Jio World Convention Centre, BKC in Mumbai. The show will air on Colors and Colors Cineplex and will be simulcast on Filmfare’s Facebook page, globally.
