As the plotline of the film is based in Punjab, Aamir showed the film to the members of the SGPC. Talking about the same, he said “ I was very touched with the reaction of the members of the SGPC. I am so glad that our film touched their hearts so deeply”.
Before starting the shoot, the makers showed the script of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ to the members of SGPC as they wanted to get everything perfect. As the film is based in Punjab and Aamir is playing the character of a Sardar, the makers wanted to get every single detail right.
Meanwhile, Aamir recently made it clear that he is in no particular hurry to stream his film on OTT. He shared, “One of the reasons primarily I think the curiosity of going to theaters has reduced because films come on OTT right after they come in theaters, they come on OTT very fast. So I have always tried to keep a 6-month gap for my films. I don’t know what the industry follows, but I like to keep a 6-month gap. So that’s what I tried to do for all my films and up till now, we have managed that.”
‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ also stars Mona Singh and Chaitanya Akkineni. It is an official remake of ‘Forrest Gump‘. The film will be released on 11 August 2022.
