Recently, while speaking exclusively to ETimes, Dulquer Salmaan has confirmed that he will start filming for ‘King of Kotha’ from September. “The film will start next month, probably towards the end of September!” he shared. Dulquer Salmaan’s childhood friend Abhilash Joshiy will be helming the film.
Speaking to Kochi Times earlier the director shared, “Dulquer was the obvious choice for me, because we grew up together and he is the person I am closest to in the industry. I pitched it to him first and he liked it and said he wanted to do it. It is a gangster film that has romance and songs and is a complete entertainment package that will appeal to youth and families.”
The film is scripted by ‘Porinju Mariam Jose’ writer Abhilash N Chandran. Since Mammootty-Joshiy combo has delivered the former’s career changing blockbuster ‘New Delhi’, as their younger generations Dulquer Salmaan and Abhilash Joshiy are reuniting, the expectations for the project are extremely high.
