After Taapsee lit the diya, Tamannaah was called to do the same. Before performing the ritual, Tamannaah took off her high heels. When a woman onstage appreciated Tamannaah’s gesture, the actress said, “It’s just South Indian tradition.” After lighting the diya, Taapsee helped Tamannaah get back in her shoes. Fans are impressed with Tamannaahh’s gesture and have flooded social media with love for the actress. A few netizens also questioned why Taapsee and Anurag didn’t follow suit.

On the work front, Tamannaah will soon be seen essaying the lead in Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Babli Bouncer’. Speaking about the project, the actress had told ETimes, “’Babli Bouncer’, where I am playing a bouncer, itself is a huge opportunity to represent a strong female character. The world is essentially male dominated and you don’t really see too many female bouncers, but actually there are a lot of female bouncers that we don’t know about. Of course internationally it’s common, but even in India it largely exists. But I guess a story has never been told about something like that. So that’s definitely a project that I’m very proud of.”
