‘Thiruchitrambalam’ box office collection day 2: Dhanush starrer crosses Rs 20 crores – Times of India


After the huge success of ‘Karnan’ in 2021, Dhanush had his next theatrical release, and ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ has been released in over 600 theaters worldwide. The enjoyable family drama opened with positive reviews. The latest reports suggest that ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ has minted over Rs 20 crores in the worldwide box office on the second day.

On its opening day, ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ grossed over Rs 9 crores worldwide even though it was a working weekday. But the film scored better than day 1 on day 2 as it grossed over Rs 11 crores on the second day to reach Rs 20 crores worldwide in 2 days.

The weekend collections are expected to be even higher than the first two-day collections as the film has got extra added shows on several screens. Also, the reservation for prime shows are almost sold out in most of the centers, and the film is set to convert into a box office hit. The makers have made a perfect plan to keep the expectations low, and the feel-good drama has impressed fans post its release as it exceeded expectations.

Dhanush plays the lead role as a middle-class youngster, while Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj, Nithya Menen, Raashi Khanna, and Priya Bhavani Shankar played some of the pivotal roles. Nithya Menen has delivered an excellent performance in the film.
