Suniel Shetty promotes homegrown talent; employs local artists for his latest project – Exclusive – Times of India

Actor, producer, presenter, influencer, entrepreneur – Suniel Shetty has donned multiple hats from time to time. In the latest, the multi-talented actor has taken it upon himself to promote India’s homegrown talent in various parts of the country. Suniel, who recently shot for a commercial in Indore, hired local talents for his project.

Elaborating on the same Suniel tells ETimes, “We have such outstanding talent in our country, but those in the smaller towns and cities often don’t find the right platform and opportunity to explore a career in the industry. I feel glad we could get local talent from Indore on this project. 90 percent of the cast and crew have been sourced from here via our platform FTC Talent. The kids have done an impressive job.”

The actor has plans to do the same during many of his future projects. “There is a show I will be doing very soon. It is based in Uttarakhand and except the primary cast, we have ensured we hire the local talents from the area and give them that opportunity. India is offering us so many subsidies, we have such a rich cultural heritage. There is so much that can be done with the local people. We have some fantastic locations that can be explored for shoots,” he added.
