The venue was turned into an enchanted forest and divided into two spaces — one for the pre-function and the other, a dance party. Pre-function event had cake cutting, exchange of rings, romantic couple dance and heartfelt speeches by the couple. While Ali said to Richa, “Whatever I do, I do it for you”, Richa in a light-hearted way teased the guests saying, “I didn’t know so many people liked us!” A sweet corner was reserved for those who wanted to leave handwritten messages for the couple on old books so that paper is not wasted.
When the action moved to the dance floor, the two people who danced the most were Ali and Richa! Giving them company on the dance floor were Kubbra Sait, Mallika Dua, Sayani Gupta, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Huma. Divya Dutta, Renuka Shahane, Kalki, Swara Bhasker, Esha Gupta and Sanya Malhotra were also present. The entire Fukrey team danced to Ambarsariya.
14 different food counters were dedicated to a wide range of cuisine. Burmese, Thai, South Indian, Chaat, alcoholic kulfis, dessert spread, cocktails… the options were plenty. Like Priyanka Chopra’s iconic Ralph Lauren trench coat at the Met Gala and Deepika Padukone’s redZuhair Murad reception gown, Richa’s custom made Anamika Khanna gown was also a convertible that could detach the flare with pants underneath for easy movement for dance.
