
In an interview with a news portal, Dipika said that a film’s characters must appeal to the audience. According to her, if the character is from Sri Lanka, they should not look like Mughals. The actress also added that she couldn’t understand much as one gets to see him for mere 30 seconds in the teaser, but he does look different. Dipika also added that she agrees that times have changed and VFX is an essential part but only as long as the people’s sentiments are not hurt.
Elaborating further, she added that if she tries to connect herself with Arvind Trivedi, the one who played Ravan in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan, she would not feel good. Each actor has the liberty to portray a character as their interpretation, Dipika told Aaj Tak.
Directed by Om Raut, ‘Adipurush’ stars Prabhas in the role of Lord Ram, Kriti in the role of Sita and Saif Ali Khan in the role of Raavan. It is slated to hit the theatres in January 2023 where it will be locking horns with Siddharth Anand’s ‘Pathaan’ starring Shah Rukh Khan at the box office.
