Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan Nanda have spoken about their mother’s inability to accept the intrusive paparazzi culture. On an episode of Koffee With Karan Season 6, both Abhishek and Shweta had revealed what plagues their mother. They had explained that Jaya can feel claustrophobic and that’s why she does not take kindly to the crowding of photographers around her. Shweta had revealed, “She gets very claustrophobic when there are too many people around her. She also doesn’t like it when people take her pictures without asking her. She comes from that school of thought.”
Abhishek had a more candid appraisal of his mother’s unfiltered reactions. He had said, “If it’s like the four of us, Dad, Aishwarya and I just hold hands, say a silent prayer before the red carpet. And then we collect ourselves and walk on. If Shweta Di is with us, we just send her with Maa.”
When Navya and Shweta spoke to ETimes for Navya’s new podcast, ‘What The Hell Navya’, they revealed that Jaya was the most unfiltered person from the Bachchan family. Also during one of their podcasts, Jaya had confessed about being disgusted by people who interfere in her personal life. She also revealed that she despises people who interfere in her personal life and fill their stomachs by selling those products. When Navya asked if Jaya knew that this would happen when she decided to become an actor, she replied that she never ‘catered to it’ nor ‘endorsed it’.
