On Sunday, ‘Thank God’ added Rs 3.50 crore to its total. Due to India’s match on Sunday at the ongoing T20 world cup, there were less footfalls in theatres. At the end of its six-day extended weekend, this fantasy drama stands at a total of Rs 26.75 crore nett, reports boxofficeindia. Overall, ‘Thank God’ has fetched a dull response at the box office. During this six-day theatrical run, the film earned around Rs 4 crore nett plus in Gujarat / Saurashtra markets, while the lion’s share across the country was taken over by ‘Ram Setu’.
Helmed by Indra Kumar, ‘Thank God’ features Rakul Preet Singh as the leading lady opposite Sidharth Malhotra. Last week Rakul had visited theatres where the movie was playing and had interacted with the audiences. Speaking about the reactions she has been receiving for the movie, Rakul had shared, “Thank God I did surprise theatre visits and the audiences have come up to us emotional. They didn’t expect us in the theatres and they walked up to us stating how everyone really liked the film and how they are emotionally connecting with the film. All I can say is Thank God right now.”
