Review: Written and directed by Rakesh Sashii, Urvasivo Rakshasivo, brings forth the conflict between marriage and live-in relationships after two individuals fall in love. The debate has been around for a while now, and the lead pair Allu Sirish and Anu Emmanuel play it out on the screen. Sree Kumar is a typical corporate employee in love with a modern girl, and Sindhu is a modern girl who wants to fulfil her dream of setting up a restaurant in Paris. Once in love, she looks at marriage as a compromise, but he sees it as an end product of love. These are recurring and relatable subjects in society and to each one their own. Allu Sirish shines in this romantic comedy and delivers a pleasing performance. Anu Emmanuel, too, impresses with her portrial of a modern, ambitious girl. The romance and chemistry between the lead pair play out well on the screen and work as a boon. Though it has equal amounts of romance and emotion, the comedy generated by the characters, including Sunil and Vennela Kishore, takes the cake and makes this movie work. Sunil and Vennela Kishore are at their comic best and help the film with its light-hearted approach. Aamani, Kedar Shankar, Babloo Prithiveeraj and Posani Krishna Murali played important supporting characters and gave their best.
The film comes across as a visually pleasing outing with good production values. Tanveer Mir’s cinematography, Karthika Srinivas’s editing, and Srinagendra Tangala’s art direction aid in this aspect. Music by Achu Rjamani and Anup Rubens makes the whole experience appealing to one’s senses. On the whole, Rakesh Sashii puts out a wholesome entertainer. But, perhaps, some of the cliched humour and inferences concerning typical relationships and girls, in particular, could have been avoided.
Urvasivo Rakshasivo, directed by Rakesh Sashii, featuring Allu Sirish and Anu Emmanuel in the lead, has equal amounts of humour, romance and emotion. Impressive performances from the cast and visually pleasing production values make it a perfect watch if you are looking for a wholesome yet light-hearted entertainer.
