It has been a very good second weekend for Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Drishaym 2’. The film continued with its glorious run and raked in nearly Rs 38 crore nett in its second weekend. Early estimates suggest that this thriller will earn close to Rs 141 crore nett, at the end of 10 days, reports boxofficeindia. There is a possibility of ‘Drishyam 2’ beating the second weekend numbers of Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Brahmastra’.
With the present upward trend of ‘Drishaym 2’, the film is expected to rake in Rs 200 crore nett soon. The thriller has been massively welcomed in Gujarat/ Saurashtra circuit. ‘Drishyam 2’ stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran and Ishita Dutta in lead role. While the first part was helmed by late Nishikant Kamat, the sequel is directed by Abhishek Pathak.
Last Friday’s release ‘Bhediya’ also picked up pace over the weekend. The film witnessed a jump of nearly 50 percent on Sunday and added approximately Rs 11 crore nett to its total. The opening weekend collection of ‘Bhediya’ is said to be around Rs 27 crore nett. Helmed by Amar Kaushik, this horror drama features Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles.
