
He says, “I love massy entertainers. I want to focus on anything that catches people’s attention and drives them to theatres. I want to be a part of projects that will promise them the experience, which will force them to come to the theatres. Well, I think, time and again our cinema proves that good films are going to get people to the theatres.”
In an earlier conversation with BT, Varun had mentioned how films that are rooted, are most likely the films that audiences feel connected to. He had said, “if something is connected to my traditions and culture, I will connect to it faster because there is the relatability aspect that comes in. But as an artiste, I am open to exploring every story that can leave a mark on me. Bhediya is fantastical and supernatural and is also rooted in our folklore; it excites you because it is a ‘what if’ story.”
