For anyone who grew up in the 90s, the Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer was the epitome of romance. The film, which has broken records and still has a matinee show daily at the iconic Maratha Mandir theatre in Mumbai, has been a cinematic benchmark for romance.
In June this year, Guneet staged her wedding with Sunny, a few weeks after their engagement in April, to fulfill the wishes of Sunny’s grandmother, whose health was deteriorating due to cancer. Though she passed away a few weeks after their staged wedding, the couple was happy that they could plan this for her.
Meanwhile, on the work front, as a producer, she has backed some critically acclaimed films such as ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘The Lunchbox’, ‘Masaan’, ‘Zubaan’ and ‘Pagglait’.
