‘Drishyam 2’ fourth weekend box-office collection: The Ajay Devgn starrer competes with ‘KGF2’ – Times of India

‘Drishyam 2’ has now entered its fourth week and the film has given the industry a big reason to smile by bringing in the audience to the theatres in large numbers. Even in its fourth weekend, the collections of ‘Drishyam 2’ starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran and Akshaye Khanna are better than the newer releases.

The total collection of the fourth weekend of ‘Drishyam 2’ is Rs. 12.50 crore nett as per trade website boxofficeindia.com. It comes as a second close to ‘KGF Chapter 2’ which had collected 13.50 crore on its fourth weekend.

With that, the film has now reached 204 crore nett and the trade predicts the film to enter the list of the top five films of all times, along with ‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’ and ‘KGF 2‘. But largely, the lifetime business of the film will depend on the newer releases. ‘Avatar’ is set to release this Friday on December 16, while the big Ranveer Singh-Rohit Shetty release ‘Cirkus’ will be out next week. These bigger releases will further lessen the screens for ‘Drishyam 2’ and may also affect the film’s footfalls.

Meanwhile, newer releases like ‘Bhediya’ and ‘An Action Hero’ are lagging behind the film with low collections.
