This will be Alia’s second collaboration with Bhansali after the spectacularly successful Gangubai Kathiawadi and will require a different level of preparedness from the actress.
According to sources there is a whole lot of music and songs involved in the project. “Bhansali has already recorded 12-15 songs for Baiju Bawra. The male protagonist plays a singer. But Alia’s character too has plenty of musical scope in the script. She will be prepping for the part before the actual shooting begins,” reveals a source close to the project.
Yesterday, ETimes spoke to SLB’s long-time associate and director of Heeramandi Mitakshara Kumar who also revealed details of Baiju Bawra and said, “We are going to do Baiju with Ranveer Singh next. It will start after Heeramandi. It also has Alia in the cast.”
