To begin with, he got a massive heart attack on December 3. Worse, he was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. But his wife prevailed upon the doctors to not give up and keep trying to revive his pulse.
The pulse was recovered after a full 25 minutes. This was revealed to us by his daughter Prachi in a recent conversation with her, prior to his death.
During the time that he lost his pulse, Nitin Manmohan developed refractory epilepsy. There were seizures and spikes developed in the brain. This, in turn, led to a large amount of brain damage. Subsequently, he stopped responding to medicines that were administered to him.
Nitin Manmohan produced many successful films- ‘Dus’, ‘Laadla’, ‘Bol Radha Bol’ to name a few. He was undergoing treatment at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
We at ETimes stand by Nitin Manmohan’s family in their hour of crisis and pray that the filmmaker’s soul rests in peace.
