Infact, she’s just dropped a reel today, ahead of her birthday and a user commented, “Reels ke liye alag se ek National award dena chahiye Sunday ko ππ” because her expressions were so on-point. Vidya recreated a reel on a funny scene from ‘Khichdi’ featuring Hansa (Supriya Pathak) and Hemanshu (JD Majethia). Vidya wrote, “Sunday ko mera janamdin hai πβ£οΈAlso #happy2023 βοΈπ₯βοΈπ§ββοΈπ€β₯οΈ Channeling my inner #Hansa courtesy #SupriyaPathak β£οΈ” Watch it here.
Recently, Vidya had opened up on the discrimination that actresses face in Bollywood. The actress had said in an interview that Alia Bhatt didn’t get enough credit for ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ which Sanjay Leela Bhansali got. When it’s a male actor’s film which does well, the hero gets credit but if a female-actor driven film does well, the credit goes to the director, which is ridiculous.
On work front, Vidya was seen this year in ‘Jalsa’ along with Shefali Shah. Next year, the actress will be seen in a yet untitled film with Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D’cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy.
