‘Love Today’ to be remade in Hindi; 4 producers vying for rights – Exclusive – Times of India



Bollywood continues to be smitten by South films- and why not? Most remakes have hit the nail on the head till date. It’s now the 2022 Tamil comedy, ‘Love Today’. And mind you, four producers are bidding for its remake rights. ETimes has it the deal that will be struck will be the biggest- bigger than Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming film ‘Shehzada’ which we hear was Rs 7 crore; this could be Rs 10 crore or more.

Who are the 4 producers? ETimes has it that they are- Sony Pictures, Boney Kapoor, Dil Raju and Phantom Films (led by Shrishti Behl). Let’s see who wins the race. This is a developing story. Stay tuned on ETimes to get all the recent developments in the world of Bollywood.

Meanwhile, for those who’ve come in late, ‘Love Today’ was written and directed by Pradeep Ranganathan and produced by Kalapathi S Aghoram under the banner of AGS Entertainment. The film starred Pradeep Ranganathan himself (in his acting debut), Ivana, Raveena Ravi, Yogi Babu, Sathyaraj and Raadhika Sarathkumar in lead roles. The film’s music and score was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the cinematography was handled by Dinesh Purushothaman and the editing was done by Pradeep E Ragav.

‘Love Today’ received highly positive reviews from critics and audiences. The film was a critical and commercial success at the box office grossing Rs 100 crore against a budget of Rs 5 crore.
