Recently, the actor took to his IG handle to share a pic with his trainer Swapneel Hazare, introducing him as his ‘competitor’. Sharing a happy pic of the two, Hrithik wrote, “Happy Birthday Swapneel. My trainer and now my competitor. Have a kicka** year ahead! Means I’m gonna kick your a** this time round! Let the games begin.”
Coming back to his fitness, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing as the actor has had his share of struggles with keeping fit and lean, as he revealed.
In an recent interaction, the 49-year-old spoke to fitness trainer Kris Gethin where he touched upon on a variety of issues such as his health, both physical and mental, fitness mantras and more. The actor revealed that he had an extremely tough time prepping for the action thriller War, in which he starred alongside Tiger Shroff.
Elaborating on the same, the Agneepath actor said that he almost felt like he was dying shooting for War. He further added that he wasn’t prepared to take up such a challenging role and that he was trying to achieve perfection.
Moving on, the actor revealed that soon after the movie, he went into adreline fatigue and could not move or train for 3-4 months. He was on the verge of depression, before he decided to turn things around.
Hrithik also spoke about his transformation and said that he has truly enjoyed the process. Adding that he had been visualising this day for the past 3-4 years, the Vikram Vedha actor admitted that he did become complacent in the interim, relying on his past glory.
On the work front, Hrithik Roshan will soon grace the big screen in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter with Deepika Padukone.
