Kartik Aaryan will have a cameo in Ranbir Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar – Exclusive – Times of India

Some matches are made in heaven, others are forged in the crucible of the entertainment world. One such match is the friendship and association between Kartik Aaryan and his filmmaker buddy Luv Ranjan. They’ve worked together in four films, including Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, which turned the fortunes for both their careers. Now that Luv Ranjan has worked with Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, there was no way he was leaving his lucky charm and bestie Kartik behind.
The Ranbir-Shraddha movie is releasing next month and even as the film’s promotions kick off, ETimes was able to get a big exclusive news. Sources close to the film’s production revealed to ETimes that Kartik will indeed have a cameo in Luv Ranjan’s next offering. The source revealed, “Kartik Aaryan will be the biggest surprise of the film.”

We were curious to know if any of the franchise character crossover that we saw in the recent Pathaan, with Shah Rukh Khan’s character teaming up with Salman Khan’s Tiger, will rub off on the Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar cameo and feature Kartik resprising one of his previous characters from Luv Ranjan’s movie? The source explained, “One is not sure if he will be seen as Sonu or some other character in the film. But Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar belongs to the same kind of cinema that Luv Ranjan is known for. Fans will just have to wait and watch what Kartik serves up.”

A few days ago, the film’s lead Shraddha Kapoor had revealed that she was thankful that the first choices to play the lead in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar – Nushratt Bharuccha and Kartik Aaryan – gave up that opportunity and let Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha pick up the baton. Kartik may not be the lead but he could very well be a showstealer.
