Sharing an old video of Dilip Kumar’s live singing performance, Ali wrote, “Amazed and in awe of Dilip Kumar sahab’s singing skills. This is live. Hear the vocal texture, the sur, lagao, expression. He could’ve done his own playback but I think being a perfectionist didn’t feel was something he should do. People close to him can share more on it I guess.”

A few days ago, Ali, who had earlier hosted the veteran lyricist at the event, had expressed his displeasure over Javed’s sharp remarks while calling out Pakistani terrorism in Pakistan. Javed had said that Pakistanis should not feel offended when Indians talk about the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.
After receiving backlash from his fellow Pakistanis, Ali slammed Javed in an Instagram post which reads, “I am a proud Pakistani and naturally no Pakistani would appreciate any statement against its country or people specially at an event meant to bring hearts closer than further. We all know how much Pakistan has suffered and continues to suffer at the hands of terrorism and such insensitive and uncalled for remarks can deeply hurt the sentiments of so many people.”
After returning to India, Javed had said that he was not scared to speak his mind while in Pakistan. He had also spoken about Pakistan not welcoming Indian artistes, the way India welcomed talent from across the border.
