Swara Bhasker-Fahad Ahmad skip a grand ceremony, to have an intimate wedding in Delhi – Times of India

Actor Swara Bhasker surprised one and all, when she announced her wedding to political activist Fahad Ahmad on February 16. While the duo had a registered marriage under the Special Marriage Act, the ceremony is set to be held this month and as Swara has been updating on her social media handles, the preparations for the same are on in full swing.

As per a report in Hindustan Times, the couple are planning to ditch a grand wedding and will tie the knot (again) at her nana-nani’s house in Delhi. However, despite the intimate ceremony, the couple will go full throttle with haldi, mehendi and sangeet planned between March 11-16.

A source close to the family told the publication, “Swara is giving the destination wedding a miss and instead opting for an intimate and emotional wedding at her nana and nani’s house in Delhi. The preparations have already started and she is detailing all the rituals. She has been planning them to the T. With Holi and her wedding ceremonies lined up one after the other, there is a lot to celebrate.”

Swara announced her wedding to Fahad with an adorable video last month, encompassing the couple’s journey from friendship to love. She wrote, “Sometimes you search far & wide for something that was right next to you all along. We were looking for love, but we found friendship first. And then we found each other! Welcome to my heart @FahadZirarAhmad It’s chaotic but it’s yours! ♥️✨🧿”
