Shah Rukh Khan thanks fans for making Pathaan the number one Hindi film in India: It’s not the business, it’s strictly personal – Times of India

Shah Rukh Khan‘s heart is filled with nothing but joy and gratitude as Pathaan has become the number one Hindi film in India. The Siddharth Anand directorial has crossed Rs 1000 crore mark worldwide and also broken the box office record of the Hindi version of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 in India. The superstar took to social media to thanks his fans for pouring immense love on Pathaan and making it the biggest blockbuster of all time.

Pathaan, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles, was a mega comeback vehicle for SRK after his 2018 film Zero. The movie became the highest grossing Hindi film worldwide in the history of Hindi cinema in its initial run. Currently, Aamir Khan‘s Dangal is the highest grossing Indian film with a reported earnings of around Rs 2,000 crore.

“The nett collection in India stand at Rs 529.96 crore (Hindi – Rs 511.70 crore, dubbed – Rs 18.26 crore) The total worldwide gross is an incredible 1028 crore (India gross: Rs 641.50 crore, overseas: Rs 386.50 crore)” YRF had said in a press note.

Other than Pathaan, Indian movies which have managed to breach Rs 1000 crore mark at the global box office include Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, RRR and KGF: Chapter 2.
