‘Bholaa’ box office collection day 1 early estimates: The Ajay Devgn starrer has a fair opening at mass centres – Times of India

Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer ‘Bholaa’ released today and while in the afternoon it felt like the film will have dull opening numbers, it has done a fair job in mass centres. Except Mahashtra, it had a decent opening in other areas like UP and Rajasthan. Despite the holiday on Ram Navmi, it hasn’t picked up in major cities like Mumbai and Delhi.
As per trade website boxofficeindia.com, the opening of ‘Bholaa’ is geographically similar to ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ even though the latter didn’t release on a Holiday. With a fair opening in Madhya Pradesh, Rajashthan and UP, one can expect ‘Bholaa’ to have an opening day figure of about Rs 9-10 crore at the box office. Although, the expectations were that the film should open at Rs 14-15 crore.

One hopes that when bigger cities have a holiday on Saturday and Sunday, the film picks up in numbers as the Sunday numbers will play a huge role in deciding the fate of the film. The advance bookings were mediocre, but it has picked up in the post-afternoon shows. As per trade, it should get better ‘current’ numbers than the advance booking numbers. ‘Bholaa’ is expected to have better numbers at mass pockets over Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
