Netizens tag Boney Kapoor as ‘tharki’ for holding Gigi Hadid by her waist in the viral picture – Times of India

A picture of Boney Kapoor and Gigi Hadid has gone viral on social media for all the wrong reasons. In the picture, Boney was seen posing with Gigi on day 2 of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) launch in Mumbai. The producer found himself at the receiving end of heavy criticism for the way he was posing with Gigi in the picture.
The picture showcases Gigi smiling to the camera while Boney is seen looking at her with a smile on his face. He is also seen holding Gigi by her waist. Netizens unleashed their wrath upon Boney and some people even tagged him as ‘Tharki’.

Earlier, social media users were offended when Varun Dhawan lifting Gigi in his arms and planted a peck on her cheeks before she left the stage during his performance at the event.

Responding to the outrage, Varun had tweeted, “I guess today you woke up and decided to be woke. So lemme burst ur bubble and tell u it was planned for her to be on stage so find a new Twitter cause to vent about rather than going out and doing something about things.”

Later, Gigi thanked Varun for making her Bollywood dreams come true and put the controversy to rest. “@Varundvn making my Bollywood dreams come true,” Gigi wrote while sharing the viral video on her Instagram stories.

Several pictures of the supermodel posing with Bollywood celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan among others have been doing the rounds on social media.
