Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri will be seen together in ‘Dhadak 2’: Report – Times of India

Janhvi Kapoor had made her Bollywood debut with ‘Dhadak’ which also saw Ishaan Khatter with her. ‘Dhadak’ which was a remake of the Marathi film ‘Sairat’ was Ishaan’s second film after ‘Beyond The Clouds’. The film was directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar, the makers are now planning a second installment of the film.
As per a report, the sequel will feature Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in the lead and will be directed by debutant Shazia Iqbal. This one is also expected to be an intense love story and the prep work is set to begin soon. ‘Dhadak 2’ is set to go on floors in the second half of the year. The report suggests that apart from the lead actors, the film also requires a strong supporting cast for which the casting is in process. There will also be workshops with the actors before the film goes on floors. The script of the film is quite rooted just like the first part.

Tripti has worked with Johar in a film with Vicky Kaushal which is set to release this year. Meanwhile, Sidhant has earlier worked with KJo for ‘Gehraiyaan’ which was directed by Shakun Batra. ‘Dhadak’ was largely compared to ‘Sairat’ and hence, a large part of the audience was disappointed with the film.
One hopes ‘Dhadak 2’ will be much better than the first part. Tripti was last seen in ‘Qala’ which got a lot of appreciation, while Siddhant’s last release was ‘Phone Bhoot’.

Meanwhile, Tripti has also been in news for her rumoured relationship with Anushka Sharma’s brother Karnessh Sharma. The duo haven’t yet openly spoken about their relationship but some social media posts on each other’s birthday have indirectly confirmed their relationship.
