Pooja Hegde says her journey hasn’t been all smooth, she’s had phases of no work – Times of India

Pooja Hegde will be seen next in ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ with Salman Khan. The actress has completed a decade in movies as she made her Tamil film debut with Mugamoodi in 2012. Since then though, she’s carved her own niche. But it’s not been all smooth, says Pooja.
In an interview recently, Pooja said she made a career out of whatever came to her since she came from a non film family. So, she hopes her story inspires people someday. Pooja confessed that it was difficult to get the right films and that took some time for her. So, her journey hasn’t been smooth sailing. She’s had highs and lows. There was a year when no work came to her and then suddenly work started flowing. Hence, today when she sees success, Pooja remembers the time when she wasn’t successful as well. That phase set her up to be the actor she is today.

Pooja called her journey a roller-coaster ride, adding that even if your hair is in a mess once you come out of the roller-coaster, you had a great time, you have a smile on your face and you say, let’s do it again.
The actress had made her Hindi film debut in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’ opposite Hrithik Roshan. In an exclusive chat with ETimes, Pooja had spoken about the failure of ‘Cirkus’. “As an actor I loved the process. I love Rohit Sir and would love to work with him again. I’m a fan and my dad has been a fan of Rohit shetty. I got great feedback for my role and my screen presence. I think I got the most from it. I learnt a lot from it. I worked with comedy legends like Johnny Lever and Sanjay Mishra on that film. So, I tried to imbibe a lot from these actors.”
