Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan clocks in 23000 tickets in advance booking, numbers are lower than expected – Times of India

Salman Khan is returning to the big screen after a gap of 4 years and a lot has changed in this time in terms of audiences consume content. Getting people into the theaters has become far morw difficult than ever before. But one thing that hasn’t changed is the fandom and fanfare for Salman Khan. He still has a strong hold over fans and his films are still treated like an annual festival.

Salman’s latest film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has clocked in 23000 tickets in three national multiples till 3:30 pm on Wednesday. One might say that this is a low number, which simply means that the Salman starrer would be dependent on a walk-in crowd to get the bumper opening.
As per a report by an entertainment portal, Bhaijaan’s advance booking is below par when compared to recent successes like Bhool Bhulaiya 2 and RRR. They at par with films like Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Laal Singh Chadha, Vikram Vedha and more than Bholaa, Shamshera, Bhediya and Samrat Prithiviraj. All this simply means that the film is expected to get an average opening and box office success will heavily depend on word of mouth publicity. The fans will need to create a push to take Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan forward in the coming days. The report also suggests that single screens and mass pockets have recorded very good advance booking numbers which are second only to Pathaan.

Another factor that might see an increase in ticket sales is the Eid celebration. It is expected to fall either on Saturday or Sunday depending on the sighting of the moon.
