It is that time of the year again when Bollywood’s biggest and brightest stars assemble under one roof for the most celebrated awards show, the 68th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2023 with Maharashtra Tourism. The stage is set and the spotlights turned up bright to witness a spectacular night of glitz, glamour, fashion and of course, the best of Hindi cinema. The annual Filmfare awards recognise and honour both the artistic and technical excellence of professionals in the Indian film industry.This year, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ starring Alia Bhatt, is up for 16 nominations, including Best Director and Best Film. Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva’ came in a close second with ‘Badhaai Do’ which also scored 14 nominations. The Varun Dhawan-starrer Bhediya also scored an impressive 13 nods in technical categories including Best VFX and Best Editing. Last year’s box office blockbusters ‘The Kashmir Files’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ are also in the running for the Black Lady in the Best Film category. This year’s show will be hosted by superstar Salman Khan alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Maniesh Paul.
