Sooraj Pancholi’s family is both positive and anxious for the April 28 verdict in the Jiah Khan case – Times of India

The verdict for the Jiah Khan case is slated for April 28. Actor Sooraj Pancholi, one of the main accused in the case will be hoping that the judgment comes out in his favour. ETimes was able to speak to a member of the Pancholi family who revealed their hopes and expectations from the final verdict.

The member of the Pancholi family request for anonymity to ensure the Court or the verdict isn’t influenced, but stated, “Going by the merits of the case, the entire family is positive. But we are also anxious about the verdict which is slated to come out on April 28 in the Special CBI Court number 52.”

Jiah Khan, who had featured in films like Nishabd, Ghajini and Housefull died by suicide in June 2013. Sooraj Pancholi, who was reportedly dating Jiah, has been an accused in the Jiah Khan suicide case since 2014. Jiah’s mother Rabiya Khan has alleged many times that Sooraj and his family had mistreated Jiah while she was alive and that they were directly responsible for her death.

Sooraj’s parents Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab have maintained that their son is not responsible for Jiah’s death. For now the Pancholi family will be hoping that Sooraj will be acquitted in the case.
