Rajkummar Rao poses with his Filmfare Best Actor trophy, thanks his love Patralekha and the team of ‘Badhaai Do’ – Times of India

Rajkummar Rao won the Best Actor trophy for ‘Badhaai Do’ at the 68th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2023 which concluded last night. His co-star Bhumi Pednekar also won the Best Actress (Critics’) along with many other awards which came for the film.
An overwhelmed Rajkummar dropped a montage of his photos posing with the trophy. He also penned an emotional thank you note. He began with a message of gratitude for his wife Patralekha. The actor wrote, “Won the Best Actor Popular Award last night at the 68th Filmfare Awards 2023 for #BadhaaiDo. Thank you God 🙏😇 This one is very very special. My 4th black lady and this wouldn’t have been possible without you my love @patralekhaa who always pushes and encourages me to do good work. Thank you love for always being there.”

He further added, “Thank you my most beautiful family both in Gurgaon and Shillong. Big Thanks to YOU guys, our audience for giving so much love to our #BadhaaiDo. I love you guys ❤️ Thank you @filmfare @jiteshpillaai and the most wonderful Jury. Thank you #Harshwardhan Kulkarni mere bhai and congratulations. You’re a magician and always keep this magic alive. #BadhaaiDo gave me a brother for life.”

He further congratulated his co-stars Bhumi and Sheeba Chaddha who also won the awards. “@bhumipednekar Mubarak ho meri dost. Rajkummar didn’t stop there. He had a longer thank you list for all the technicians and everyone involved with the project. ‘Badhaai Do’ dealt with a very strong message as to how two individuals come together and opt for a lavender marriage in order to keep their sexualities under wraps.
