Aamir Khan never agreed to attend parties organised by the underworld, reveals producer Mahaveer Jain | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Film producer Mahaveer Jain recently spoke highly of Aamir Khan and how he has been a man of principles. He recalled the time when Aamir put his life at risk after he decided not to attend a party organised by the underworld back in the 90s.
The producer, who has earlier backed films like Ram Setu and Good Luck Jerry, told an entertainment portal that the underworld was ruling the film industry in the 90s. All the film stars had to accept invitations and visit the Middle East for their parties. However, Aamir never agreed to it.
He said that Aamir was particular about his principles. He had refused to endorse a few brands when he was doing his TV show Satyamev Jayate. He did not endorse for 4-5 brands for almost 3 years, which used to advertise earlier. Aamir felt that Satyamev Jayate is a serious show and featuring an ad in between would reduce the seriousness of the show.

Calling Aamir one of the finest human beings, Mahaveer said that the actor is highly misunderstood. He described him as someone who stays away from name, fame, money and power and keeps himself away from the rat race. He added that social media perception and reality can be two different things. And those who know Aamir personally, would say the same thing.
Recently, Aamir said that he is enjoying spending time with his family right now and will decide to do a film when he is emotionally ready. Months after his last film Laal Singh Chaddha opened to mixed reviews and poor box office collections, the actor had said that he was taking some time off, maybe ‘a year and a half’, to prioritise family over career.
