The actress in her latest conversation with ELLE US Magazine, revealed that she is more comfortable in saree and feels that the inventor of saree is a genius.She stated that her chiffon saree is even more comfortable than jeans and a T-shirt. And went on to state that whoever invented the saree was a genius. It’s meant for the weather in India because it’s airy and light, and you feel like you’re enveloped by a cloud. Your mood can go from zero to hero the minute you put one on a saree, she said.
She also added that saree does it all at once, the softness, femininity and sex appeal in one go.
She also disclosed that her dream ensemble for an event like the Met Gala would also be a saree. She shared that it is her dream to help design a Gucci-inspired saree and wear it to a massive event like the Met Gala.
Alia was recently spotted at the Milan Fashion Week where she was present as the first Indian brand ambassador for Gucci.
Alia is now gearing up for her next film Jigra where she will not only play the lead but will also be producing it with Karan Johar. The film will be directed by Vasan Bala. It is set for a theatrical release in September 2024. As per reports she will also be seen in Aditya Chopra’s Spy Universe with a standalone film of her own with Sharvari Wagh, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra with Ranveer Singh playing the title role.
