Ranbir Kapoor’s fierce avatar in the first official trailer of Animal has wowed fans! Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga promised to present the actor in a never before seen avatar and the trailer serves just that.
Apparently, Ranbir has made a personal contribution to Animal’s finances, in a bid to improve the quality of the film. According to Pinkvilla, Ranbir Kapoor’s present fees for every film is around Rs 70 crore but he has made an exception for Animal and has reduced the amount by 50 per cent.Ranbir Kapoor is reported charging around Rs 30-35 crore for this Animal. The report further stated that Ranbir was keen to invest more in the film’s production value and hence, decided to reduce his upfront fees. However, once the movie hits the screens, Ranbir Kapoor will have a share in the profits, which seems quite likely, considering the overwhelming response that the trailer has earned.
Previously, the movie was delayed due to post-production work. The director had confirmed, “Coming back to the topic of why we are not able to release the film on August 11, the only reason is, and it might sound like a generic answer, the quality. See, I’m not going to explain to you how the post-production work has been delayed as it might bore you. I’ll cut it short. I’ll give you one example. There are seven songs in the film, when seven songs multiply into five languages it becomes 35 songs. 35 songs, different set of lyricists, a different set of singers, it’s going to take a little more time than what I actually planned for.”
Animal stars Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady, while Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol are seen essaying pivotal parts. Animal narrates the story of a father-son’s strained relationship. After several delays, Animal will hit the screens on December 1. This gangster drama will clash with Vicky Kaushal starrer historic drama Sam Bahadur.
