Jimmy Sheirgill’s new OTT comedy-drama series Choona dropped yesterday, and the actor, who is currently shooting for a movie in the UK, tells us that he is confident about what they have created. Jimmy’s confidence and excitement stems from his belief in the series’ talented director and writer, Pushpendra Nath Misra. “Initially, I had refused the show as I thought I would be playing another strong UP-based character. But when I read the script, I was numb. I was glad that someone was doing something different. My only issue was the character; how ever, the way Pushpendra was looking at it was completely different. Once people watch the show, they will realise it’s something else,” says Jimmy.

Sheirgill will now focus on his next release, the OTT series Ranneeti, where people will see him in a completely different character. He says, “It feels great to consistently play such versatile and different characters.” The actor has also completed shooting for Neeraj Pandey’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, which stars Ajay Devgn and Tabu and Jayprad Desai’s Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba.
Jimmy is also looking forward to starting his own YouTube channel, where he plans to directly interact with his fans and give them a glimpse of his other hobbies and interests (for instance, few know that he’s a sneaker head and is crazy about cars). “My management team will handle it, but the content will come from my heart. It may take some time, but right now, I will need to up my Instagram game. However, slowly and steadily, I am getting the hang of it,” he concludes.
