Akshay Kumar joins PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachhata hi seva’ drive on October 1, even while being out of the country – Times of India



Akshay Kumar is known for always inspiring people – be it through his movies or his way of life off-screen. His discipline towards fitness and lifetsyle in terms of waking up early and sleeping early is no news! Meanwhile, Akshay also makes utmost use of social media from time to time to send across any social message. A ‘swacchata hi seva’ drive as announced on October 1 by PM Narendra Modiand he urged the citizens to join in.Akshay became a part of the ‘swacchata hi seva’ drive despite being out of the country.
In his latest post, Akshay urges people to not only have a clean surrounding physically, but even mentally. He shared a picture where he can be seen sweeping and cleaning the beach while being abroad and he wrote, “Cleanliness is not just about physical spaces, it is a state of mind. Being out of the country couldn’t stop me from paying a tribute to Swachhata Abhiyan. So I would say where ever you are, do your bit to keep your space, and mind, clutter free. #SwachhataHiSeva”

On work front, Akshay is gearing up for the release of his film, ‘Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue’. The film is based on the Raniganj Coalfields collapse of 1989 in West Bengal. This will be Parineeti’s first release post her wedding with Raghav Chadha.
The film is set to release on October 6 and will clash with ‘Thank You For Coming’ which stars Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaz Gill, Kusha Kapila, Dolly Singh and Shibani Bedi.
