A screenshot being shared on the internet features Mika’s comment hailing Jacqueline and Jean-Claude Van Damme, while calling out alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekar.Jacqueline’s post on X (previously known as Twitter) reads, “With the legend Van Damme!! Can’t wait for this collab!” Reacting to it, Mika allegedly wrote, “You are looking so beautiful… he is much better than Sukesh.” This post has been deleted now but looks like eagle eyed netizens were quick to take a screen shot.
Jacqueline’s name emerged when the investigating agencies were probing a 200 crore extortion case involving Sukesh Chandrashekhar. It was being alleged that the conman showered the actress with a lot of gifts. Jacqueline has been questioned several times by the Enforcement Directorate and she has maintained being a victim in this conspiracy. Jacqueline is reportedly a witness in the case and was granted bail by a Delhi court last year.
Her lawyer Prashant Patil had told ETimes, “She has always cooperated with the investigation agencies and attended all the summons issued till date. She has handed over all the information to the best of her ability to the ED. The agencies have failed to appreciate that she was cheated and conned into this matter. She is a victim of a larger criminal conspiracy. Taking the entire prosecution case to be true for the sake of arguments, even then, no case is made out against Jacqueline under the scheme of Prevention of Money Laundering Act or any other Law in force. This is a case of mala fide prosecution and my client shall take steps as required under law.” Sukesh Chandrashekhar is lodged at Delhi’s Tihar Jail currently and has been writing several letters to Jacqueline Fernandez.
