Recently, MC Yoo Jae-seok shot for Chuseok special episode of Pinggyego with Gong Yoo, Jo Se-ho, and Yang Se-chan.During his appearance on the show, Gong Yoo gave an insight about his strong bond with Dong-wook. When Jo Se-ho said that Gong Yoo,Lee Dong Wook, and Yoo Jae-seok “are just the style of quietly calculating”, Gong Yoo was left in splits and revealed, “Dong-wook showed off to me when he paid for something, saying ‘I paid for it’.” Finding it hilarious, Jo Se-ho and Yang Se-chan jokingly stated, “Because you’re older”.
Gong Yoo further added, “When Dong-wook goes fishing with me, there are the younger managers who go with us. He never brags about buying them anything, as if it was something natural to do, but he shows off to me.” While Jo Se-ho also shared his observation of the duo and stated, “When I see Dong Wook with Gong Yoo, he looks more like a real younger brother. When Dong-wook talks, Gong Yoo nods his head and says, ‘Yes, yes’. Dong Wook will also become a younger brother to Gong Yoo.”
During the same conversation, Gong Yoo spoke about feeling anxious and shared, “I’m not sure how you’ll take this, but I think I experienced it once in my twenties and once in my thirties I don’t think I can explain clearly why I was anxious. For example, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God did very well, but I wasn’t happy. I was happy it did well, but apart from that, there was a time when I felt so empty and I couldn’t wake myself up. It’s not that the work was hard or that it went well, I wasn’t able to enjoy the spotlight when projects were a success.”
