According to the latest reports, Amin is working on a period film that is also said to be a musical.As stated in a report on Pinkvilla, the director has been engaged in discussions with various stakeholders to bring his vision to life. Notably, he has already initiated conversations with potential actors to star in this unique venture.
Sources close to the development reveal that the director has extended an offer to Kartik Aaryan for a key role in the film as he feels that the actor’s charisma and talent align perfectly with the project’s artistic vision. So far, there have been three to four meetings between the two, with the actor reportedly expressing ‘genuine interest’ in the project.
As discussions continue to evolve, it is anticipated that more meetings will follow in the coming weeks. If all goes according to plan, this project could mark Shimit Amin’s return to mainstream filmmaking after a 14-year hiatus.
His most recent directorial was for an episode of the Netflix series ‘The Suitable Boy’.
Kartik, on the other hand, has been keeping busy with his many film projects. He most recently wrapped up a segment of Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘
Chandu Champion‘. In 2024, the actor is scheduled to return in the next ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ instalment and will also take the ‘Aashiqui’ franchise forward.
