Kriti Sanon has a strong repertoire of films and post her Best Actress National Award win, she is ready to take things to the next level. She already has started her own production company where she is teaming up with Kajol for her first production and she also recently launched her own skincare line. But not many are aware that before being an actor, Kriti was an engineering student and had quite a few job offers before she made a full time switch to being an actor.
The actress during her conversation with India Today revealed that back when she was studying engineering she wanted to become one but she didn’t really know what an engineer would do.But she had always been the one to give her 100 percent to whatever she would do. The actress also shared that she was one of those geeky students who always sat on the front bench but was forced to sit on the last because of her height. The ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi!’ star also added that she was a complete nerd who wouldn’t sleep or eat before her exams. And she is proud of what she was then and what she is now.
Talking about when the acting bug bit her, she mentioned that she never thought of making acting a career, she was always into academics. But one day, someone told her that she has the face and height to try out for modeling and she began modeling and TV ads when she was in the second year of B-Tech and that is where the acting bug bit her.
Kriti will soon be spotted sharing screen space with her first co-star Tiger Shroff after a gap of nine years in ‘Ganapath: Part One’. She has also paired up with Shahid Kapoor for the first time in Dinesh Vijan’s untitled film which is slated for release on February 9, 2024.
