Vinod Mehra’s son Rohan Mehra opens up on nepotism; says it has not influenced his journey – Times of India



Vinod Mehra‘s son Rohan Mehra went on to make his Bollywood debut with ‘Baazaar‘ as the second male lead after Saif Ali Khan. Recently, the actor opened up about nepotism and struggles in the industry with a media portal.
The actor stated that he acknowledges the existence of nepotism, but personally, doesn’t believe it has influenced his journey. He further added that it is neither detrimental, nor has it been advantageous for him.
According to him, if nepotism were truly in his favour, he would likely have a much busier career with numerous releases. The fact that this topic even arises demonstrates that nepotism hasn’t played a significant role in his career.
The ‘Baazaar’ actor further added that it’s been a continuous challenge, and it felt like he was beginning from square one. The actor revealed that he participated in many auditions, almost every week, sometimes two or three in a week.
Meanwhile, Rohan was in the headlines for his recently released web series ‘Kaala’. The series revolves around the life of an intelligence bureau officer solving a case fueled by criminal masterminds, power and revenge. The web series was released on September 15.
Apart from this, he will be next seen in upcoming film ‘Adbhut’. Written and directed by Sabir Khan, the film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shreya Dhanwanthary.
