While speaking to News18, Fatima shared that though there are actors and performers who are very talented, they are not given their due chance in the industry because they are not ‘A-listers’. She added it is not a cakewalk to find directors and producers who show faith in actors who are not ‘A-listers.’
Fatima mentioned that she finds herself to be lucky to be a part of ‘Dhak Dhak’ and to be able to work with Taapsee Pannu who took this challenge and put her trust in her. When producers and directors step up for talent, it gives a ray of hope to actors like her.
In the same conversation, Fatima also opened up about her bike riding experience. Unlike her co-stars she had a prior experience of riding a bike; however, it wasn’t a pleasant one. She recalled how strangers used to tease her or start a race with her for no reason. The actor said she used to allow them to pass. Even during her practice for the film, she was followed by an elderly man. According to her, men feel that their masculinity comes under threat when they see a woman riding a bike.
