Will sent the message for Jada while she was on friend, Jay Shetty‘s podcast.He wrote, “I applaud and honour you.”
“If I had read this book 30 years ago, I definitely would have hugged you more. I’ll start now. Welcome to the author’s club. I love you endlessly. Now go get some Merlot and take a rest,” he concluded.
After Jay read the note to Jada, she said, “He knows I can’t have no Merlot,” said a visibly emotional Jada and added, “That’s beautiful.”
She then went on to add, “That’s why I Can’t divorce that joker.”
Will previously told The New York Times about the book, “When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in, and you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties.”
Meanwhile, amidst rumours that the couple may just be headed for a divorce, Jada offered up some clarification on the Today show with Hoda Kotb. While speaking about her separation, Hoda asked her what would happen if either of them found another “great love.”
To this, Jada replied, “There’s no finding another great love, and I think that’s the point. It’s like we are in a place now that we are in a deep, healing space. And we are really concentrating on healing the relationship between us.”
“There’s no divorce on paper. We really have been working hard,” Jada said, which surprised Hoda, as she thought they had split up for good. Jada then responded, “That’s the whole thing. We are working very hard at bringing our relationship together. Back to a life partnership.”
