Suhana Khan, daughter of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, shared her experiences on the set, noting that everyone was working hard to bring Zoya Akhtar’s vision to life. She expressed that being on the set was overwhelming due to the numerous people, lights, hair, makeup, and the chaos. She admitted feeling nervous and, at the same time, a great sense of responsibility on her first day. She plays Veronica who is pro at roller skates, while Agastya Nanda plays Archie who is a musician. Khushi Kapoor plays Betty Cooper, who cycles her way into the hearts of the audience.
Zoya Akhtar in an earlier interview shared that she had set up a boot camp for the young actors to prepare them for the challenges of performing on set, given their rawness and the overwhelming nature of a film production environment. She aimed to co-create the characters with the actors and ensure their comfort in front of the camera.
