According to market tracker Sacnilk, the film’s global collection figures amounted to a modest Rs 3 crore on its opening day. The film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 9.72% on Friday.
Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon visit a garba pandal in Ahmedabad to promote their film ‘Ganapath’; groove with fans
‘Ganapath’ hit theaters on October 20, introducing audiences to a high-octane action narrative. Tiger Shroff’s character, Guddu, undergoes a transformation into Ganapath, a mercenary, on a mission to protect his people from a menacing syndicate led by the enigmatic Dalini.
Notably, the film’s action sequences are choreographed by Hollywood action stunt director Tim Man, renowned for his work in movies such as ‘Legacy Of Lies,’ ‘Triple Threat,’ and ‘Accident Man.’
Unfortunately, ‘Ganapath’ marks Tiger Shroff’s lowest box office opener to date. His previous film, ‘Heropanti 2,’ generated Rs 6.50 crore on its opening day, making it his lowest opener before ‘Ganapath.’
The underwhelming collection figures may also be attributed to the release of Vijay’s ‘Leo,’ which garnered significant attention and enjoyed a global release. In addition to stiff competition, ‘Ganapath’ has faced a wave of negative reviews, posing a challenge for the film to achieve break-even profitability. The coming days will reveal whether ‘Ganapath’ can overcome this initial setback and gain momentum at the box office.
