Kannada superstar Yash, widely known for the success of the KGF action drama, is making a move into Bollywood by signing up for Nitesh Tiwari‘s ambitious project, ‘Ramayana.’ For his role as Ravana in the film, Yash is reportedly charging a whopping sum of over Rs 150 crore.
According to some spreading buzz, Nitesh Tiwari has cast Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita in the film. The project is expected to start shooting around February next year.
Yash’s decision to take up this Bollywood project is to make a strong entry into the industry. Despite having the third part of KGF in his pipeline, he’s determined to balance his time between both industries. He’s charging a substantial fee for the role, ranging from Rs 100 crore to Rs 150 crore, with the final amount depending on the number of days he’ll be required to shoot.
In the case of ‘KGF 3,’ the film is expected to hit theaters in 2025, with filming starting toward the end of the next year. Yash is planning to sport a different look in ‘Ramayana’ compared to his appearance in the KGF series. He’s actively discussing and planning the new look, and he’s also working on his physique to fit the role.

On the other hand, there have been reports suggesting that Ranbir Kapoor is making significant lifestyle changes, like quitting alcohol and meat, to prepare for his role as Lord Rama.
However, another source has dismissed these claims, stating that they are speculative and that Ranbir is currently focused on the release of his film ‘Animal.’ His approach for ‘Ramayana’ will be decided later on.
