Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor got married on April 14, 2022 after five years of dating. They met on the sets of Brahmastra and their love blossomed. They are now parents to their baby girl Raha. But it was quite an emotional moment for Shaheen Bhatt to see her younger sister Alia as a bride.
Talking about feelings, Shaheen told Bollywood Bubble that she had tears in her eyes when she saw Alia dressed as a bride on her big day.It was really overwhelming and emotional moment for Shaheen and because of that, she doesn’t have any idea how anybody else was dealing with it.
When asked about her equation with Ranbir, Shaheen said that it doesn’t change anything. She also clarified that she has not been in a situation where she has to take sides. She added that Ranbir is a wonderful addition to the family.Shaheen further said that she and Ranbir are quite similar. She has even told Alia about it that ‘you’ve chosen somebody who is giving you the same kind of quietness.’
Since Shaheen has been quite vocal about mental health and her 5-year-long battle with depression and anxiety, she was asked whether she helps Alia cope with tough emotional situations.
To this, Shaheen said that Alia doesn’t need help in that sense because they are all aware of the fact that they are very lucky and privileged. There’s a certain understanding that people are going to talk about them since they are public figures. She mentioned that they do have conversations about what they are feeling but they don’t get bothered by the outside noise. They are just grateful to have each other in every situations in life.
