Kangana Ranaut FAILS To Shoot the Arrow at Ravan Effigy at Lav Kush Ramleela on Dussehra while she promotes her film Tejas | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Kangana Ranaut is on a promotional spree for her upcoming movie ‘Tejas’ where portrays the role of Air Force Officer Tejas Gill. The story revolves around her undying spirit and patriotism. Kangana made history as she became the first woman to perform the Raavan Dahan at Lav Kush Ramleela in Delhi, however, unfortunately, the actress failed to shoot the arrow.
Kangana was present at the event with her sister Rangoli. The actress made a gorgeous appearance in a traditional red saree with bun adorned with flowers. Kangana was seen chanting Jai Shree Ram as she tried to shoot the arrow. Those present around her were seen teaching her how to do it. However, she failed at doing so, but as always, her spirit was not dampened. One of the members of the Ram Leea committe helped her later and the arrow was shot.
Arjun Singh, president of Lav Kush Ramleela Committee of Delhi, spoke about Kangana’s presence at the Raavan Dahan. He said, “Be it a film star or a politician, every year we have a VIP grace our event. In the past, we have had former President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi do the honours. Among film stars, Ajay Devgn and John Abraham have been here. Last year, Prabhas did the Ravan Dahan. For the first time in 50 years of our event, it will be a woman who will do the Ravan Dahan.”
He further added, “Lav Kush Ramleela Committee also wants equal rights for women. Women participation is increasing in every walk of life today, but there is still a long way to go. The bill will help in the development of the country and society.”
While many trolled Kangana, despite her effort, some also came out in support of the actress. Former Pakistani cricketer Danish Kaneria came in support of her against the trolling and he said, “Making jokes is very easy! Atleast Kangana did something good for her country in reel life, and you are not doing anything good in real life. Manikarnika is a must watch film which awakens the feeling of patriotism and self-respect in all of us.”

Kangana’s next ‘Tejas’ is set to release on October 27 in cinemas.
